Texting Success for Craigo’s Pizza – (Now Pizza Pie Cafe)

Craigo’s Pizza is texting like crazy! They have locations in Idaho and just opened up a Pizza Pie Cafe in Utah. Pizza Pie Cafe opened a week ago and already has over 1,100 cell phone numbers in their database. Kent has been running their texting campaigns through M6 Marketing and has seen a ton of success. “The last broadcast we sent out, 13% was the rate of return that we were able to measure and that was with BYU-Idaho out of school. Half our subscribers are from BYU-Idaho, so I’m pretty confident that we would have had upwards of 16, 17, 18% response with that text message if school would have been in session.”

BEANS & BREWS USES TEXT MESSAGES TO GIVE SALES A BUZZ

Beans & Brews is using the latest wave of modern day marketing to communicate with its customers.  The Utah based company is now offering text message alerts to notify customers of sales on coffees, mochas, fruit tea smoothies, and other products.  The solicitations are completely voluntary for customers, who must text the word “beans” to the number “83043″ on their cell phones to start receiving the promotional text messages.

The local chain has teamed up with Utah based M6 Marketing in order to bring its customers this technology.  Marketing using cell phone text messaging is becoming increasingly popular across the U.S.  Proponents of the service claim that it is effective because it is direct, immediate, and subscriber-based.   “We like it because we can target slower days and times and run promotions to increase traffic.  Our customers like it because they are directly notified about good deals on their favorite products.  It’s truly a win-win for us and our guests,” says Jeff Laramie, Beans & Brews CEO.     Laramie says the key is running aggressive promotions such as the company’s recent $2 Frozen Mocha campaign.  That promotion increased store traffic by almost 10% says Laramie.  In just over a month the company has accumulated over 1000 subscribers.

Beans & Brews limits the number of text messages to about one a week, and promises never more than four per month.  “We don’t want to annoy our customers.  We want them looking forward to our texts,” says Laramie.  Beans & Brews customers can unsubscribe to the message alerts at any time by sending the word “cancel” to the same phone number.
